IMPROVED SEALING SOLUTION
From the factory, Mitsubishi used sealant alone between the sump pan and engine rather than a conventional sump gasket.
This 4mm cork gasket provides an improved sealing solution, particularly where an older sump pan has developed minor distortion or imperfections around the sealing face which can contribute to oil leaks.
The 4mm cork material can accommodate small irregularities in the mating surfaces and help provide a reliable seal.
