Genuine Bosch/Zexel Diesel Fuel Pump Front Seal – Mitsubishi 4M40 & 4D56
Genuine Bosch fuel pump front shaft seal, part number 1 146 601 070, for suitable Mitsubishi 2.8TD 4M40 and 2.5TD 4D56 diesel injection pumps.
Factory pre-lubricated: The seal is supplied with lubricant already applied between its sealing lips, as shown in our photographs. Take care not to wipe away this lubricant when handling or fitting the seal.
Why might you need to replace this seal?
A worn fuel pump front seal can allow air into the fuel system or permit fuel and engine oil to pass where they should not. Possible symptoms include difficult starting, the engine cutting out shortly after starting, loss of power, or contamination of the fuel or engine oil. These symptoms can have other causes, so the fault should be diagnosed before replacing the seal.
