DIESEL INJECTOR WASHER SET – 12 WASHERS
Fits all Mitsubishi 4D56 2.5TD and 4M40 2.8TD engines fitted with a rotary diesel injection pump.
A complete set of washers for refitting four diesel fuel injectors.
THE SET INCLUDES:
4 x Flat copper washers
4 x Aluminium leak-off washers (with two holes for diesel return)
4 x Small crushable heat-protecting washers
IMPORTANT FITTING INFORMATION
The small crushable washers fit into the cylinder head BEFORE the injectors are installed.
When the injector is tightened to the manufacturer’s specified torque, its washer crushes to form a seat and helps protect the injector nozzle from combustion heat.
These are the very small washers,the outside diameter is approximately 11 mm, the same outside diameter as the nozzles.
Not suitable for common-rail injectors. Most vehicles changed to common-rail injection around 2007, so check the fuel injection system rather than relying on the registration year alone.
